Every time I drive long distances and have the ac blowing at max speed they eventually slow down without cause or by me adjusting the speed. The speed goes down on phone calls so that the sound isn’t picked up by the microphone. If I start a call after the blower slows down, the speed goes down a little more, and when the call ends — depending on the length of call — the blower speed can almost get back to where it should be, but doesn’t quite get there.

I looked on a Reddit post through some thorough investigation and found a comment that stated that the cabin air filter could be getting soaked by the condensation from inside of the blower motor.

If you have any ideas or could give me some advice, other than calling my local dealership, it would be greatly appreciated. The comments also said the dealership couldn’t figure it out because by the time they got there the condensation from the long drive would’ve dried up by then.

Thanks!

Do you have automatic climate control, you set the temperature and do Not touch the fan speed?

I think the question was--"Do you have automatic climate control, you set the temperature and do Not touch the fan speed?" If you have auto control system, why would you try to operate it manually? Sorry, but I will not click on the reddit site! I don't need anymore spam links!

If I recall correctly, there is something in the vehicle settings through the infotainment system that deals with the fan speeds when you place or take phone calls. I think the feature can be turned off.

I don’t think that’s the issue because when the fan speed decreases suddenly it gets warmer in the car because the AC temp is not being regulated normally.
