Fuel pours on the ground when tank is completely filled and the nozzle kicks off. When starting after this hard starting and stalling for a about a minute then runs perfectly. Only time this occurs is when filling and the gas pump kicks off. If I stop adding fuel before it kicks off no leak or poor running.

One of my LeSabre's leaked similar to what you described (when the tank was topped off). In my case, it was the O Ring that seals the fuel pump flange. I've read where another member found a crack in their fill neck hose. As for the hard to start part, is topping off the tank the only time that the hard to start issue occurs?

My car had the fuel pump replaced and it was leaking from the seal where the fuel pump module seals to the tank. If the pump shut off trigger was insensite enough, i would get gas to come out of the top of the tank when fueling up. I attempted to replace the seal...at which point i found out there were two different types of seals. I bought both, and put in the one that looked different than mine, but it still leaks. And I buggered up my fuel level sending unit when i tried replacing the seal. My solution was to slather the module with a really thick bead of rtv. It helped the check engine light to stay off for a couple of extra trips or something. Its part of the fun of driving a 25 year old GM car.
