2014 LaCrosse Leather
I have a 2014 LaCrosse. This year I decided to go with winter tires and bought a set of Blizzaks. I used these on my previous car, 2005 MINI Cooper S, and really liked them. But, as with the MINI, the tires threw codes. My ABS and Stabilitrak lights are on and send alerts every time I start the car. Power steering is also affected. How many start cycles does it take the computer to clear the codes? Do I need to take it to a dealer to clear the codes?

Why didn't the tire seller reset the sensors

How can tires cause codes?

What are the codes?
Do the tire pressures display on your screen?
Tire pressures are all the same. I can't find my OBD2 so I dont know the codes but the ABS & Stabilitrak idiot lights are on and there is also a power steering alert. Power steering is heavy.
When this happened on my MINI it would take 3 or 4 days for the computer to catch on, it's been 10+ days so far.

Without knowing codes difficult to provide an answer. If a tire pressure receiver is faulty it would account for some of the lights.

Thanks. I'll run it by AutoZone tomorrow and get codes

It may not be the TPMS throwing codes. The slightest difference in tire size, even old vs. new, can throw ABS codes. The ABS speed sensors are VERY sensitive. What are the codes? I bought a cheap (under $30) DTC reader at Walmart and it lets me clear codes.

Thanks for that information. I did not know that. The time I had to go to AutoZone to get the codes it was raining quite heavily so I didn't stop. I'll have to pick up that reader. Thanks for that, too.

Well, no codes but idiot lights are still on.

Who checked for codes, they may not have the correct scan tool.
I found my OBD2. You may have something, I bought that reader for my MINI because it reads BMW. I guess I'll have to take it to the dealer.
