Tires (white walls)

I was asking about the F32's, because my Dad, and Grandpa(moms dad), were raving last night on how great the F32's were on their plow trucks.

I love snow tires. 😎

A friend is running Kumho KC11. He got them at Discount Tire.

But he isn't doing much plowing these days.

:hail: NO MO SNOW!!!

Yea on my little 2.0 front wheel drive I have drove down roads at normal speeds with 6-8 inches and no problems going 35-45 mph😀

I had a set of Khumos. Wore funny right away, but maybe that was my fault. I'm running Yoko Avids now and keeping a better eye on them. They are WWs but not wide like the ones Ozzy is showing. Gangster wide WWs would look pretty cool on a RM.

If you want a vintage tire that is out of regular production.... you gotta PAY for it. That company, or coker tires, or something like it, has to buy the molds, and pay royalties just to produce the tire.

That's understood. I applaud their effort to give people what they want and they are certainly deserving profit for it.

But then I gotta pay shipping and stuff and still not as cheap as mine😀

Redlines are cool... but blue walls can't be? 🙁

😛

A friends car I work on, the white outline tires still have the blue on them... they have been on the car for around 10,000 so far. Aparently they never clean their tires. 😀

Is custom cruiser the brand, or the model?

Ozzy, I wondered how these tires are working out. I'm considering them as they run about $500 for a set vs. $1000 for the Diamondback Classics on a Michelin MX tire.

Are they quiet? Especially as far as thump or uneveness. How about the traction? I'm sure that the Diamondback Michelins are great but $500 extra is pretty steep for a tire that won't have a treadlife warranty.

It seems that all of the other wider whitewall tires that I can find come out of China, and I don't want to go that route. The Michelins are USA or Canada and the Custom Cruisers are from Mexico I think.

I've even considered doing the grinder trick or whitewall paint but it seems like too much work for somthing that might look crappy in the long run. And, I'm sure that these methods void your warranty also.

They still have the blue on them lmao...... I dont drive it during the winter so its covered up right now. The weekend of march 5th Im taking it to columbus so plenty of pics of and reports about noise and handling. Ive only drove on them maybe 5 miles at the most and that was from the shop to storage but I could tell it sits a bit higher 1 because they are .9 of an inch taller and 2 they are truck tires so they are rated for a bit more load. I have 30psi in them now and they dont even squat like the old ones with 35 psi.

Sandalboy I can say that Michelins and Coopers are probably my favorite tire, I cant really tell you much about ride quality but as far as defects and failures they seem to have the least out of any tire Ive handled. I could tell you anything else you want but not about ride quality 🙁 I dont like taking cars for test drives because that leaves me 1 more reason for me to get blamed for somthing that I didnt do, like supposedly one time I took some kids jellybeans..... wtf.....
