Here is a VERY INTERESTING site I found if you are looking to track your car being built. You will need your order number from the dealers build sheet. Then go to .... http://www.camarotracking.com/ Yes, the site was designed for tracking camaros, BUT it will work for any GM vehicle. Once you reg/sign-in and provide your order number the site will automatically send you an email once a week on the status of your car build. You will have to look at some of the postings in the site to find the page that list all the codes that will tell you were your vehicle is in the build process. I got an email once a week starting in Nov to tell me my car build was accepted, scheduled to build, parts being assembled in build area, and that the car was on the line being assembled, then I go an email WITH my VIN number. If you had a camaro, the site then actually tracks the car during shipping to the dealer. As I ordered a CXS, the site can not track the car pass VIN number assignment. At any rate, I drove to the dealer, two days later to tell him I had the VIN number, and did he know when the car would arrive - WELL, it was sitting there on the lot!! "he was just going to call me." And, how did I know know the VIN? The dealer did not even have the emails I got. I have had the CXS now since Christmas and LOVE it. I have never never had a vehicle that has gotten so many questions and looks. Hope the camaro site helps everyone to track their build. It is a great site. Sorry GM has not opened it all the way for other GM products to be tracked all the way to the dealer like the camaro, but at least it is great to track it to the VIN assignment - which means its on the way to our dealer..... here is the last email I got from the site. Enjoy😉😉😉

...hopefully I at least get the VIN soon...

Sorry, mxpxillini35, Hope you do get a better feeling as the process goes along. I found the site to work great ......for me. And no, I have no connections with the site. I just thought for those wanting to know about there build - it might help. I had about 5 or 6 emails over the 6 six weeks it took and found it great news each week to know what was happening with my order. I still feel you need to see if you get more email updates before you throw in the WOW factor. You can also email the site and they were very good at responding to questions.. ... like ... what gives I ordered my car on ....... and this is all you can tell me?? Has it been accepted for build? And, that my be the problem. Your dealer my have an order form and number but GM has not accepted it yet. No sarcasm is intended, but give it a rest. When you get your LaCrosse it will be all worth the wait. The car is just outstanding.

I was contacted last week by my dealer and informed that my car was accepted for build. It should be currently in the build process.

Sorry for the sarcasm, I just expected at least a "build" sort of status for the car...but it's nothing. It's just so far along in the process I though it would say something.

Like I said, I think having the VIN number ahead of time would be a huge help. I think I need that to get my plates...so I can start that process a little early...

When was your car ordered at the dealer?

Hey, mxpxillini35. I was really feeling bum about your entry and wanted to help you feel better so..............
I used your order number and went back to the site and entered it. Guess what, it showed a little more than you provided here. At any rate, it says there is an order broadcast with a current production week date. SO that to me, says your great new car is being PUT TOGETHER this week. You should be getting an email soon with a VIN number (code 3800). When it gets shipped and reaches your area is anybody's guess. BUT you will be one very lucky man SOON. Enjoy....Mica

Yeah...I've gotten a couple more updates since the initial sign in...and the same code of 3400 today was emailed to me. I initially thought it was pretty weak, but it seems to get updated a bit, although it could use a little more customization...but I don't think this was even a possibility a couple of years ago, so I'll let GM catch up to technology before I complain too much.

I also searched for '3400 code on GM order' on google and found a forum for camaros (likely the same as the site used to track the order) and found a whole crap more codes that are out there...I'd do the same and check it out!

I placed the order late in the day on 3/29...according to the dealer should have it late next week!

Mine was ordered 3/18 and I just found out today that GM is telling my dealer that they did not have "allotment" for the car so I don't know if or when I'll even be getting my car🙁

hi, ask the dealer for the order number and then go track it yourself and see what you come up with. That why you might see if the dealer is giving you the whole story.

I honestly just got lucky. The dealer I ordered through is one of the top selling dealers in chicagoland...so it's been given a HUGE allotment of Lacrosses (~85 over the next couple of months). The woman that I ordered through called and was shocked mine had been taken for production so quickly, and wasn't sure why...but I was happy it was!

Good luck on getting yours...where are you from? Could it be a geological issue?

Has any one else tried this tracking web site?? Did it work for you??
The LaCrosse is such an outstanding car from all aspects. The only thing I have found is the "blind" spots around the side mirrors. But it really isn't any worst than the blind spots in the Honda Odyssey with its big mirrors. Other than that, I truly can't find anything to complain about. I have the CXS with every option - but touring and the new side blind side alert package. Someone asked about the gas and I do and have only used 87 in it. Don't notice any lack of pick up or acceleration. The book does say you will lose some horsepower but it is ok to use. By the way the nav and the 40 g hard drive are great too.

Hey, mxpxillini35

Looks like you should have gotten an email this morning!! You LaCrosse was "produced" and you now have a VIN number. Happy days. Now you just have to wait to see how fast it ships. Enjoy!

Hi all! I'm noticing that most of the order numbers that I see posted are 6 characters--the one I was given is 7 and the tracking site lists it as an invalid order number. I've tried eliminating one of the middle letters thinking that there might have been something mis-read by the person giving me the order number. I'm hoping that someone might be able to help a little.
Order number given: NSUJ4SC
Invalid order numbers checked: NSUJ4SC, NSJ4SC, NSUJSC
I'm hoping that this is the correct number: NSU4SC.

Hopefully it will show I've got the CXS with sunroof, nav system, blind spot alert in gold mist metallic on order.

You'll most likely have to go back to your dealer and ask for the order number again. Or just keep trying all the possibilities. I think asking for the number again would be the easiest. Good luck.

Try taking out the number?

Also, it doesn't give you any details about your order per se, but it does give almost daily emails about the status of the car. Also, once your order is "produced" order code 3800...you won't get any more updates...you'll be flying blind. My order was produced on the 20th, and my dealer says it still hasn't shipped...although I'm beginning to think something is up...

Hey everyone! Thanks for the suggestions. I was holding off on calling the dealer because I know that my salesman is out of town for the week on a family vacation. I've left a message with him and hope that he'll be able to get back to me Monday. About 3 weeks ago he said that it should be about 3 weeks, so I'm starting to get very anxious if you can understand 😀

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work. And thanks to you and mica about suggesting the dealer again--I had hesitated to do that because I know he's out of town on a family vacation. When I talked to him about 3 weeks ago he seemed to think that it would be about 3 or 4 weeks before it came in. I was hoping to get a vin number so I can get the plates and insurance paperwork started. Guess I'm just a little anxious. 😀
