Has anyone here ever replaced their High Pressure Fuel Pump?
I'm trying to replace my HPFP and I can't seem to get the Metal Cover Off.
I have removed the Two Bolts and can move it the cover, but I can't get it over the
Foam Cover that covers the Fuel Pump to help reduce Fuel Pump Noise.

I have removed the Throttle Body , but I still can't get the cover over/off the foam.
I even tried to remove both the Metal Cover and the Foam all at once, but it
didn't work either.
Is there a trick to removing this cover?
Oh ya, I also unplugged the Electrical Connector but the Fuel Lines are still
attached.

I'm trying my hardest to not remove the Air Intake, but if it's the only way, I will.
I watched a Video of a Guy Removing a HPFP on a 2014 Chevy Malibu LTZ with the
LTG 2.0l Ecotec Engine.
He said he didn't need to remove the Air Intake.
But he also said there were 3 Bolts holding this Cover On, Google AI told me 2 Bolts.
Turns out that Google AI was right on my Car, there were only the 2 bolts, but
I still can't get the Cover to move far enough to get it out.

Problem Solved.
There was a 3rd Bolt hiding under the CAM Cover and behind Hoses and Wiring.
That Guy with the Chevy Malibu Video was right, there were 3 Bolts (Google AI was wrong)!
He said that you'd be able to feel around a find the 2 hidden Bolts (maybe someone could, but I couldn't).
The One Bolt was very easy to find.
The Second Bolt: after feeling around, I was able to find it and remove it.
But that Third Bolt was really Tucked away, No Way I was getting my hand in there to feel for where that bolt was.
Eventually, I kept moving the Metal Cover, with a Flashlight I could see the cover moving and the bolt that was holding it.
Had to use a 3/8" 10mm socket, a 3/8" Swivel, a 6" Extension and a 3/8" Ratchet. to get to the Bolt, then I had
to use a Magnet to get the bolt out of that tight area.

I do have the New Fuel Pump in, The CAM Follower that I was given the number for was the wrong part.
Had to put the Old CAM Follower back in (got lucky, after inspection it looked fine).
I still need to put everything back together.
It Rained On and Off today and just as I got the High Pressure Fuel Line back on, it started pouring again.
I still need to put the Low Pressure Fuel Line back on, the sound dampening insulator, metal fuel pump cover,
the electrical connection, the throttle body and many, many other little things.

I sure wish there were more Videos out there about this. I couldn't even find a picture of the Fuel Pump Cover.
A picture of that Fuel Pump Cover would have helped tremendously as the bracket holes would have told me where
to look for those hidden bolts.
The guy in the video I watched had the Fuel Pump Cover in his hand, but he kept moving it around so fast
I couldn't see where the holes were.
If he had pointed out where each hole was on that cover, it would have helped, but he didn't!

The things we do to save a couple hundred bucks!

I appreciate you looking.
That engine is the LHU, mine is the LTG.
I think the HPFP is in the Front of the LHU Engine and the Turbo is in the rear against the Firewall, just the opposite of the LTG.
The Oil Filter on the LHU (Paper Filter) is changed from above, on the LTG it hangs down and is normally changed from under
the vehicle (Metal Filter).
You wouldn't think there would be a lot of difference, but there is (the differences above are just easy to see).

The High Pressure Fuel Pump in my Daughter's 2015 Chevy Equinox w/2.4L was very easy to change, it's at the front of the
engine and easy to access..
There was nothing to changing her HPFP!

In the 2014-2017 Regal w/2.0L, the High Pressure Fuel Pump is on the Drives Side of the car and is back towards the Firewall.
The Throttle Body is back in that area too, had to remove the Throttle Body to get the HPFP out.
Here is the link to the Video of the 2014 Chevy Malibu LTZ w/2.0L Ecotec
The Malibu looks just like my Regal does under the hood, but this video was an afterthought, he already had everything
taken off and just points to things.
He does hold the Metal Fuel Pump Cover but is constantly moving it (it's hard to get your bearings).
If he was going to point to things, it should have been the Holes for the Bolts in the Cover and where they are located on the engine.

Below I've added a couple of Pictures that I hope explain where the bolts are located for removal of the
HPFP Cover and the High Pressure Fuel Pump itself on a 2014-2017 Buick Regal 2.0L Turbo.
I spent way too long trying to remove the cover just so I could replace the Fuel Pump (D*mn Engineers)!
There really wasn't much help at all on the internet (that I could find)!
I tried counting the cuts on my hands after this, I lost track at 26 cuts!

I should be done tomorrow, I dropped one of the bolts and I need to find it to be able to put it in that rear hole (#3).
Then I can put the Throttle Body Back on and button everything up
