Has anyone here ever replaced their High Pressure Fuel Pump?
I'm trying to replace my HPFP and I can't seem to get the Metal Cover Off.
I have removed the Two Bolts and can move it the cover, but I can't get it over the
Foam Cover that covers the Fuel Pump to help reduce Fuel Pump Noise.
I have removed the Throttle Body , but I still can't get the cover over/off the foam.
I even tried to remove both the Metal Cover and the Foam all at once, but it
didn't work either.
Is there a trick to removing this cover?
Oh ya, I also unplugged the Electrical Connector but the Fuel Lines are still
attached.
I'm trying my hardest to not remove the Air Intake, but if it's the only way, I will.
I watched a Video of a Guy Removing a HPFP on a 2014 Chevy Malibu LTZ with the
LTG 2.0l Ecotec Engine.
He said he didn't need to remove the Air Intake.
But he also said there were 3 Bolts holding this Cover On, Google AI told me 2 Bolts.
Turns out that Google AI was right on my Car, there were only the 2 bolts, but
I still can't get the Cover to move far enough to get it out.
