drain

Hi everyone, I am working on my sister in laws 05 leasbre custom and have narrowed down a battery drain to the RIM. .05 amp draw after the car is asleep. Unplug the RIM and it goes away. Is there much diagnosing as far as making sure the draw is the RIM and not something it controls?

this is my drain screw, its says use 3/4 " socket will it let the water out as I unscrew it or must it be pulled all the way out ?
