04 buick lesabre custom a.c. not working

My a.c. will blow ice cold when sitting at an idle. When you go over 30mph it will only blow hot air. My orifius tube (sp?) was just replaced Today by a shop it blew colder than it ever has sitting idle but as soon as I got up to 30 it started blowing hot again. I'm stummped on what it could be. Compressor works all levels are good. Has anyone had this problem or know what it could be?

It sounds like the compressor control valve is binding. The control valve cost about $50.00 and of course the labor to install it. Most people prefer to replace the compressor, expansion valve & Receiver Drier / Accumulator. You can get the whole KIT for $175.79.
