06 Lucerne has been in the shop for over a month.

Hi Everyone, I have an 06 Lucerne that needed the secondary air injection pump or filter replaced. Would not pass emissions.
After replacment of the pump the mechanic shop tells me all the lines from the new pump exploded. They were old. OK need to replace them. We'll they are discontinued, and the after markets dont hold up or they get cut in half due to them having to be routed through an engine mount. Can some anyone give me some perspective if this is an issue or is there a rational fix, or am I being taken to the cleaners. Asking for help.

Have not seen this problem posted, assuming it's the 3.8L, regarding air lines issues. Note that not all GM vehicles had the air pump as it was emissions required for certain areas, but some parts are becoming increasingly difficult to find so that may be something accurate.
