So last night I replaced a car tire, and in my infinite wisdom used my buick
headlights to light the driveway, and then forgot to turn them off.

I left my key in the ON position with the engine off to keep the lights on. I
came out this morning to realize I had left the car on all night and the battery
just needed a jump. When I got in the car, no dash lights or anything and
noticed I could not get the key out of the ignition. It will turn to the ACC-ON-
START positions, but not to the OFF position so I can't remove the key. I
tried to jump start the car under the hood and on the first attempt, the fuel
pump primed, and the gauges flashed. Since then, there has been no sign of
life. So I tried jumping from directly at the battery underneath the seat and
still nothing. Does the battery just need to be recharged at a local parts
store, and will that solve all my issues? Or is a dead battery a huge F--- up in
these cars?

charge the battery fully and make sure the shifter is in park

See my response to your previous post on this matter. Yes a dead battery in any of the newer vehicles can cause various types of havoc, I've traded mine all in and now have a 1980 36" John Deere riding lawnmower as it appears to be the only dependable transportation left on the face of the earth LOL.
