So ive been having this problem for a few months now and its slowly getting worse and worse. My car seems to start fine when the engine is cool but anytime the temp needle reaches 1/4 on the gauge my car will crank and then seem to catch but then stall out. Once i try it after the first stall out it will immedietly stall after cranking. I recently replaced my crank sensor thinking it was that but it wasnt. Ive read that it can be my fuel pump but I know a mechanic will over charge me for that kind of job so im only going to do that if I must. I was also recently told it could be my distributor because of the shaking of the engine before it stalls or possibly an electrical shortage from the starter or something in the electrical area. I really dont know what to try anymore other then trying to replace the cheaper parts or just have a mechanic look at it. If someone could point me in the right direction i would be very happy. Thank You
I have another problem that is a little less serious. When I slam my brakes(for immediete stop purposes) my car sometimes stalls out unless I am able to let go of the brakes in time for fuel to rush back to the engine. I heard this can be a vacuum leak or EGR valve but im not completely sure. Input on this would be helpfully also.
Thanks again !
