I have a 95 Buick LeSabre 3800 with 158,000 on it. The tranny made a funny sound starting from a stop sign. I stopped at a station and checked and it was about a pint low so i added a pint and had no problems til the next day. It growled a little on the take off but then no problem so for the hell of it I checked it again and I was just a little low so I topped it off. Since then I have been looking for a leak (no tranny fluid on driveway) I've checked the cooling lines, tranny pan, and front axil seal not a drop anywhere . I'm stumped. Now when I check the fluid with the car running ( I'm a little low) but when I check it not running ( I'm about a pint over full) Any help from u guys would be appreciated as I'm on Social Security Disability and the don't figure car trouble into my monthly check. Thank you
