Hey everyone I am new here, my Buick has recently starting to slip, it started probly a little over a month ago and now it's having problems going from 1st to 2nd, when I first got it I would accelerate just up to 10-15 mph, release gas, then quickly gas it again and it would catch gears, but now it won't even let me do that it's like the car doesent wanna go faster than 30mph, and I can't drive on freeways or long strip street areas, but if I'm at a stop light or sign, or a area that requires a lot of turns and stops its ok, I'm just totaly confused! I don't know that much about cars so excuse me if my explanation sounds strange, but what would I need to do to fix my tranny from slipping anymore? I researched online about the problems but couldnt get a appropriate answer, and I don't wana get ripped off by the mechanics either....
So please anyone who can relate what should I do?
I was thinking about gettng the tranny drained, new pan and filters cause there is metal shavings in the pan so I know that can't be good, So Should I go with that? Also I've been running it without the supercharger belt can that be another reason?
Also I heard of this Lucas tranny fix stuff will that work?
My car is around 350k on it, so it's one for a new oil change as well
Any help on resolving my problem would be greatly appreciated, thanks again guys!
