Hello gang,

I just got a 1997 Buick Deluxe Wagon. This car is full of this very fine dust. From dirt roads. So please keep in mind, trying to clean engine and sensors...but here is the issues....

When the engine is cold, everything is fine.

Once it warms, it is a very slow and sluggish acceleration to hit 30. Then your driving good. Like repeatedly.
Things that may or may not matter....
Car never stalls out.
Car doesn't jerk or jump.
Never hear a backfire.
Cruise Control doesn't work. Fuse is fine.
Heater doesn't work. AC blows cold, he replaced the compressor this past summer. However the fan seems to be blowing very faint. But car stays cold here in Texas.

I have had to repair 3 cars and am absolutely broke. So I don't know what to do. I am cleaning sensors, looking into everything. But no one has this same issue posted online, or that I can find. Need a dang working vehicle so I don't loose my job. If I have to put it in the shop, I can, just trying hard to fix this on my own.
Thank you,
Hope ya'll have a great day.

is the check engine light on?
since you just bought it, do you know the last time it had a tuneup, plugs, filters, etc. ?
is the coolant expansion bottle at the full line when the engine is cold?
does the fan switch change the fan speed?

Well, we stopped fighting with it. My husband and I are not rookie mechanics, but not veterans either.

I took it to a very reputable shop. Just in case someone has the same issue...

No Service Engine light, but shop said it's bad solenoids in the transmission. He said "T" word, so I almost passed out, but it's going to be $375.00. Because of the issues of this acceleration, we have hardly drove it. But as soon as I get it back we are going over everything. I can tell you that the oil and trans fluid is excellent condition. Beautiful. So just in case anyone has this same issue, it could be a possibility. Thanks so much for your help! Take care!
