I have a slow coolant leak on my 1998 Park Avenue. I add coolant to the reserve tank roughly every two months and only notice a smell of coolant when engine is warm. No puddles. I found a pool of coolant in a well just under one of the fuel injectors. I'm assuming this is the lower intank manifold(alluminum), upper appears to be black plastic. There is a visible bold in this well that has the pool. Is ths a manifold gasket gone bad or possibily something more. 112K on the car.

The infamous LIM/UIM (upper, lower) intake manifold gaskets strike again! This is a common problem in the 3800 motor and is pretty cheap to do over a weekend if You do your own work. There are several write-ups and vids if you look around the net. You can also check @ 3800pro.com....

So am I correct in saying that the upper is plastic and lower alluminum? two new gaskets? Any other gaskets to consider when disassembaling the throttle body?
