Short version: It's gonna take time and a soldering iron!

The bulbs that illuminate the buttons at night are incandescent bulbs. The yellow lights that turn on when you select Auto, Rear Def, etc., are LEDs. It's the bulbs that burn out, and they are soldered to the PCB. There are no sockets that simply twist to insert or remove.

I did mine and it took several hours, since I did not use direct-replacement bulbs, but modified it by installing LEDs.
