Hello all!
I am new here and desperate! Ever since I shipped my car to Hawaii it has been acting strange...really strange! There are 4 main things I want your guys opinion on.
1. My driver side controls do not work at all. Lights still work but no controls. That means trunk, power lock, all windows (just on the driver side), and worst of all side mirror adjustment. I was curious if this sounds like an issue with the door module? I read somewhere that can cause those sorts of problems. I checked all the other windows and they are still operational, and I checked all the fuses (none of which are blown).
2. After this happened I was leaving school one day my car decided not to start, which makes no sense since the battery died 2 months prior (the old battery was around 4 years old). So i decided to try and jump it anyways with no luck. Came back a few hours later to take out the battery to get a replacement and decided to humor myself and try starting it again. Then the car started magically! Just to point out when I was trying to start the car all that happened was a "click". That is all just a simple "click". The engine didn't turn nothing! But still about 2 weeks later and the car starts up every time!
3. The other night I randomly woke up and heard some music and it was coming from my car! I have no idea how the radio turned itself on since the last time I drove it before that was about 5 hours. It was kinda creepy, but anyways I opened the car door (which SHOULD turn off the radio) and the radio didn't turn off. So, I started the car and turned it off took out the key and the radio still didn't turn off. Then at this point I popped off the faceplate (custom radio) to prevent it from using the battery and opened and closed every other door. This seemed to fix the problem temporarily and still as a precaution I pop off the faceplate every time I leave my car for an extended period of time that way my battery doesn't die.
-On a side note could this be caused by a bad door control module? Just a guess...
4. One last thing is the vents. The air ONLY comes out of the defogger in the front. That is the place I would want it to stop at because of the humidity here in Hawaii that causes the windows to fog easily BUT that is beside the point haha. Anyways I have searched on google and here for this specific problem but I am not sure what would even cause this or what keywords to search for!
Anyways there are my issues and they are in chronological order so I'm not sure if they are associated at all, but I would just like your guys opinion on them! If they would cost a lot of money to fix its no biggie cause the car still runs even with these problems.
