Could anyone provide a brief instruction on how to remove the back seat in a Lesabre? My manual, yet again, provides nothing of value. It says that there are bolts on the bottom but I can't see them. When I was trying to wiggle the seat about to see if it has retaining bars that you slip in/out of clips and I found a mounting point but it wouldn't budge past a simple wiggle.

Cheers

O my 2001 lesabre, I just lift the front lower edge (next to the floor where you place your feet) and lift up hard..it's held in place with a tab on each side..Now for the back cushion ( the part your back rest's against) that is fastened on with I believe 2 10mm bolts...hey under the seat is where the battary is....once you remove the lower seat you will see the bolts..watch your seat belts when you replace the lower seat, so you dont forget to reposition them through the holes..I can send you photos if you'd like..Good luck!!

stick your hand between the carpet and seat lift up, oh found out the back seat fist neatly across the inside of the trunk ie. catching fireworks show and forgot your folding chairs, tailgating, and drive inn are several good uses for this. to remove the seat back it's just a few bolts across the bottom of the seat back. when putting the bench back in a good idea is to fold the seat belt buckles up into the seat back.. lol trial and error..

my friend, this is as easy as 1-2-3.

First, grab the bottom of your seat where it meets the carpet, about 6" from the middle in either direction. Give it a nice hard yank up. There are two clips holding this in place, and if this only dislodges one of them, repeat the process on the other side of the center.

Now, the bottom of the seat is out. To get the back of the seat out, you must first undo the two bolts holding it down which should be clearly visible. If you're not sure where they are, they are right where the seat belt latches are.

Next, there are 4 clips along the TOP of the back seat that hold it in. Essentially, just grab a flat-head screw driver and depress each clip individually starting with an outside edge and working to the other outside edge.

There should be a little wiggle room if you're having trouble finding the retainers, simply pull the top of the seat out a little bit and they should become visible.
