I have a 2002 Buick Park Avenue that has a front end shake that starts on acceleration at 40 MPH. the shake is most noticeable when climbing a hill. The shake stops above 45-50 MPH The shake does not happen when I am not accelerating. The shake does not happen when coasting at any speed. Any thoughts on what this might be? Thanks!

You may want to swap the front wheels to the rear and see if the shaking follows the wheels. It may be as simple as a tire balance, or tire flaw...

Good advice....start with the simple stuff first...

Just did a tire rotation and rebalance..tires were new and wheels were aligned in July. Seems to have helped somewhat, will keep an eye on it...135,000 miles on my PA, hope to double that!

Maybe a tie rod going to the rack & pinion is worn enough to initiate a slight wobble ?? Just an idea.......

Bad CV joint?

Jack it up and check the ball joints, bearings, tie rod ends (although if it was THAT bad you should see tire wear) and check to make sure all teh lug nuts are tightly installed.

I'd put my money on a CV joint about to crap it's pants.
