2003 Heater Filter?

Can some one tell me if some type of filter goes in here?

Here's the location, those two tabs push in and lift it up. Not sure on the exact style of filter but assume it looks like this one. If it's just the paper you can pull the entire plastic and filter, see tabs on plastic holder and it's comes out completely. Better than trying to jam the paper only out and in, still a PITA as a flat one would have been a lot easier.

The appropriate filter is available with a plastic frame so you can mount it in that space.
