My 03 Lesabre just started missing on 3and6 cylinders. I checked the codes and it showed a P0300, cylinder misfire. I checked the coil pack and no fire to plugs, so I replaced that coil pack, but I still have no fire to 3/6 cylinders. I even swapped coil packs and still none on 3/6.
Any ideas as to where to look next?

If you verified no spark out of the coil (and 12v to coil ?), the ignition module under the coil packs likely is bad. I think some auto stores can test these.

Thanks Lubener. I have not checked for 12v to the coil, but the other two coils are firing. I'll check voltage, then see if someone can test the ignition module.

Agreed, test the ignition module. Had one fail the same way, killed one coil.

Someone posted in the past month, a new ICM had failed after about 30 days. I got my replacement from a junkyard and it's still running, on my old '93, not the 2000.

Just had the ignition module checked and it is bad. Ordered a new module, coils, plugs and spark plug wires off of EBay for $150 bucks. $10 more than the local parts store wanted for a module alone.

Thanks for the advice Lubenre and GliderRides.

BTW; My 03 Lesabre has 225,000 miles on it and still (or will 😛) runs great.

Good idea to change coils too. A shorted primary can damage an ignition module.
