2003 P.A. Suspension Air Compressor

I'd like to find some schematic or diagrams of what all parts are included in the rear suspension of the 03 Park Ave.

My cars compressor hasn't ran for a couple years, so I'd like to evaluate the problem and fix it all. Even if it means replacing the compressor, lines, shocks. But I just don't know where to start.

The car shakes terrible, I've replaced brake rotors/pads/motor mounts/CV Axles/Bearing hubs, you name it EXCEPT the rear suspension. Just looking at the rear shocks they are a mess. I guess I could go Air-less, just anything that WORKS at this point.

..and yes, the front end had it's own problems, is why I was up there as well. 🙂

If the rear end is riding low you will have driveability issues just from that. Depending on what you want to do with the air ride setup can be cheap or not so cheap. I bypassed my air ride system with some new lines running to a valve in the trunk for less than 150 bucks.
I put this set on over a year ago and they're holding up fine.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Sorry for sounding dumb, but am I overlooking a part, the air compressor to supply the shocks air with? Looking at the kit you listed I don't see one.

I think the kit from auto zone would not be a "auto leveling thang" more pump it up when you load the car with a hand pump or such and just bleed the shocks when you lighten the load.

You can get your schematics and such from a subscription to alldatadiy.com. I think for 17.00 or so you will get all the repair/part information for your specific year of car. Kinda a Chilton's on steroids. I use it and love it....

What he said. i use mine primarily for race days so I can air them up tight. I pulled the compressor relay from under the back seat (#4?) and just put a valve in the trunk. if you want to restore your original equipment, you will have to run the new lines to the compressor from the new shock kit. The fittings of course, are not the same going into the shocks, but they are all plastic and can be refitted with the new ends easily.
