My 'new to me' 2003 LeSabre Custom has an AM/FM radio with great AM reception but only static on the FM band. It has the antenna in the windshield feature. What should I check to see if I can get FM stations back on the radio ? Any ideas ?

Without checking back to my FSM for the 2003 leSabre, I believe the FM signal also uses the rear
antenna grid on the back window: part of those lines are antenna rather than defogger heaters.

I haven't verified this, but it would be logical that there may be connections from an FM
line to the grid on the rear window. I recall that my connection for the defogger unsoldered
itself at the hidden edge of the rear defogger and I soldered it back on, carefully not to overheat
any spot of glass. Do some research first.

I believe it was called differential antenna setup that used the combination of antenna signals
from the front and back to get the best signal.

There is a little, switching amplifier that selects between 2 antenna inputs. I believe it is in the back of the car, near the rear window, under the headliner.
