I have a 2004 Lesabre Limited. Here is issue I'm having with AC. The AC is putting out good when unit is on Auto and temp. set to 77. However the air flow out of the 2 driver dash vents or floor vents is not as cool as passenger side. So to get cooler air to driver side, I push the buttons on passenger door until all Blue lights are lite then direct the passenger side dash vents in driver side direction. Anyone had/having similar issues and have found fix without taking to a cash hungry GM dealer?
Any suggestions appreciated.....................Bill (Proud owner of 2-2004 LeSabres)

Have you had the system refrigerant pressures tested? Usually, what you described indicates a low charge. You could also have a blend door problem, but the pressures need to be checked first.

I had that problem. I closed the driver side vents and just used the passenger side. I set the temp to 60.

My system was fully charged at the time.

This seems like a reliable solution. Is it long term though?
There is NO long term solution to this problem, other than finding the source of the problem.

I agree. Blend door issue, or somewhat low charge are the most common causes of reduced cooling on the driver side. Proper diagnostics are needed to pinpoint the problem. That includes hi and low pressures, ambient air temperature, RPM, and cool air discharge temperatures.

The workaround will work as long as the rest of the system keeps working as designed. Good Luck !
