I have put a fuel pump and filter on the car in the last 2 weeks. Now I filled up with gas and it’s leaking out from the right side of my car! I need help, I bought a 2.5 ton jack and I need schematics from the fuel tank, I think! I found something about the o-ring needing replaced after the filter. Oh and is there a hack for the back 3 spark plugs and wires to change? I’ve done the front 3 and a new battery. I’ve also had the Check gas cap come up on the dash
Thank you for any suggestions or help!

I would find out EXACTLY where the gas is coming from. Your gas cap light is probably coming on due to the fuel leak.

On some cars, you'll have to remove something major or disassemble the motor mounts to lift the motor some.

Did you have the leak right after replacing the pump? BEFORE you filled the tank?

Do you see gasoline dripping while the engine is running from the area of the
fuel filter you replaced? And it quits when the engine is shut off? I believe that's under
the right passenger door area? If so, I'd think filter installation and seals.

If not, I'd suspect a bad installation of the seal around the opening in the
tank that you can access through the trunk opening. I'd take the trunk cover
off right after driving the car rather vigorously to slosh fuel around the top
and that cover.

I know people in past had problems with that seal which showed up when they
filled the car all the way up with gas.

The bad seal on the pump would let air into the tank when the computer is
using the engine vacuum to see how long a vacuum holds, which is the way
the computer can tell if there's a leak, small or large.
