2006 Buick lucerne cxl Navgation

I have the navigationsystem with the H/K speakers and let’s be honest it was cool when it came out but it’s outdated now. Wondering if i could put a car play radio in it like the normal radios or is this different, and is there a plug and play kit for it. What radio do you guys recommend too. I know there is a kit to have the steering wheel controls to work. Thanks

Go to Crutchfield and you will see a interface harness for your vehicle with the HK system to retain the amp and the rest of the components. On head units they will list all that will fit and you can check on ones that fit your needs and budget.

Sounds good, so it doesn’t matter about the navigation system then? I know gm could be weird haha

I have the same unit and the DVD map program was useless as it was out of date the day it was released LOL. I just use a Android phone and free navigation map app, maybe not convenient for others but works for me. Also as a FYI the HK system has various OHM ratings on the speakers if you plan on replacing them.
