2006 Rendezvous CXL p0449

Hi All,

I've had my Rendezvous for about a year now. It's an '06 CXL 3.5L FWD and the thing's throwing a p0449 code for a bad Vent Valve Solenoid. From what I've gathered I'lll have to drop the tank to do this. Was wondering if anyone has done this themselves, how it turned out, and if I'm better taking it to my mechanic. FWIW I usually do my own repairs save for a recent alignment. Just want to know what I'd be getting in to.

FROM what I have seen on you tube you could run vehicle low on fuel. Partially lower tank and replace vent valve solenoid. Am doing one this week on a hoist. Can let you know how it goes!
