2007 Buick Lucerne CXL V6 Brake Pedal Position Sensor Assembly

I have a 2007 Buick Lucerne CXL V6. The battery was being drained so I swapped it thinking it was just bad. After digging more with the scan tool I noticed the stoplamp brake switch was drawing power with car off and pedal break not being pressed.



All Data has a part number GM15223506 , but dealer said it has been updated to GM20995840. So I bought it at AutoZone for $25 (dealer was $57)
Is the Stoplamp pedal switch signal same as Brake Pedal Position Sensor Assembly?

Here's a diagram on the part #11 which is for the brake lights. Some times it's a plug and play but have seen posts on it requires calibration unfortunately no information on why one way or the other is determined, just a FYI.

Thanks! Due to the bolt position, the accelerator pedal had to come off. Otherwise it would have been a 5min job. $70 labor + $25 parts = $95 total.
