2008 Enclave steering wheel contros have no Power & Car will not shut off???????

Hey guys, cant find info on this issues anywhere. The steering wheel controls and horn does not work whatsoever and the car will not turn off unless the main engine fuse is pulled, but when key is removed the car stays running. Just looking for anyone that has experience with the Enclaves to chime in. I am mechanically inclined and have bee working on diesels for the last 16 years plus. Just looking for pointers that could possibly save me some time troubleshooting it, thanks guys, God bless!!!


All fuses under hood are good and the fuse panel on passenger side kick panel are also good!!!

Not 1 Reply wow. Anyway, just in case someone needs to know, the Airbag Module, Yaw Stabilitrak sensor, and some type of airbag sensor where the reason for the continuous running. My Airbag computer was literally decayed and ruined due to water intrusion and so were the others. The Fuse box below the glove box can cause issues too but in my case I replaced it and it did not fix the problem so i tore the center console out and found the water logged computer and other sensors. Not sure why no one has chimed in but it seems weird because this forum seems to be the biggest Buick forum.

You problem would be a out of the ordinary incident. I would be suspicious of a flood car, otherwise how did that much water get into the center concole? Maybe not an actual flood car but the previous owner could have run thru some extra deep water.

No, not a flood car. 08 to 11 Enclaves & Acadia's all are known for the water intrusion problems. If you have a sunroof you may experience these problems. If you hear water swashing around in the top of your sunroof it's because it's clogged and guess where it will finally drain to? You guessed right, directly into your car right on top of all of the electrical connections,wiring, and fuse panels. You tube water in Enclave and all kinds of stuff will populate. Was a flawed design and there is a fix via you-tube for it.

It was under the center console right where airbag, traction module and stabitrak Yaw module is located.
