GM issued a technical service bulletin concerning excessive oil consumption that directed dealers to replace pistons and piston rings. This was to be covered by the powertrain warranty. With a 2012 you are past that coverage.

I don’t know how to find out anything. My car only has 60,000 miles on it and it’s burning so much oil I have to put oil in it every few hundred miles.

If you are beyond the power train warranty there is no coverage.
Try a high mileage oil with a higher viscosity number, 5W40 as opposed to 5W30 as an example.

Doesn't use a serviceable PCV, part of valve cover.
