2012 Verano Bluetooth

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2012 verano, The salesperson told me it came equipped with bluetooth and pointed out the phone commands on the steering wheel. After I brought the vehicle home I realized those are onstar commands. When I go to phone configuration, it tells me "not available". Is my vehicle equipped with bluetooth? if not, is there anything I can do to add the option?

It has Bluetooth. I don't know exactly how to set it up since I'm not in my car, but it's simple. It's in the Config, then Phone Settings, then pairing your phone. Make sure your phone has Bluetooth on and is discoverable. The phone commands on the steering wheel will work when your phone is paired with your car.

That's the thing, I go to Config, Phone setting, then it says "Not Available", Doesn't give me the option to pair. That's why I think that I don't have bluetooth.

Thank you for all the links, but unfortunately it doesn't apply to my car. They all have intellilink systems, I got the stock radio with the small 3.5" screen. I tried everything but it's not working, I really think that I should either replace the Onstar module with one that has bluetooth, or get the Costar BlueStar module, those are my only options in my opinion.

Can you post a picture of your dash? I've never seen a 3.5 screen in a Verano.

Wow. Never seen that. I'm guessing Canadian? I don't think you have Bluetooth though buddy. Sorry.

What's your opinion on the costar bluestar ii that replaces the onstar module? Since i don't use onstar I figured I could get that.

Hi late getting here. I have 2012 Verano ,with on star ,but it doesn’t have blue tooth . Now gm is disconting on star . Now we don’t have hands free calling .we’re you able to find out anything.if so let me know please .I need hands free.lol.

I have a 2015 Verano, great car but does not have the ability to connect to bluetooth. It is the base model and doesn't have a color touchscreen. I was really surprised there was no connectivity. Years ago I had a 2009 toyota Corolla base, and it had bluetooth. Is there any work arounds for this issue?

Get a Verano designed Android head unit. They rock.. Just make sure to get the one with at a minimum 2g RAM. But with that you'll get the backup camera you'll get GPS navigation you'll get Android auto and anything else Android you can imagine including being able to watch videos on your screen and they make a unit that fits the entire Verano intellects or infotainment Center perfectly! In fact I believe it actually turns all the knobs into digital and it speaks directly with the steering wheel and the rest of the vehicle the AC system everything. That's the route I'm going anyway LOLu
