2013 LaCrosse Navigation too Dim

First off, new to site - this may have a thread but I didn't see one. My navigation has several things that I don't like - but a real annoyance - I wear polarized sunglasses, and if the Nav systems isn't at daytime brightness during the day, I can't see it without looking over the top of my glasses. As evening approaches, or morning, the light sensor wants to dim my dash lights, including the nav system when it is clearly light outside. And if a cloud is too dark, it dims also. I know on my Chrysler I can override that feature and keep it on full bright - is there any way to do this on the LaCrosse?
