2013 Verano 2.0L turbo engine shuts off while driving at 55 mph

2013 Verano Premium 2.0L turbo
Any help here. Engine completely shutoff while driving. During the stall, no electrical power was lost. Power steering still worked. No codes either. No issue after restarting and driving. The car has 76k miles.

I have recently replaced the IAT sensor and Intake camshaft actuator solenoid. Parts were replaced several weeks before stalling event occurred. Battery is 2-3 years old. Connections are tight. Cleaned the ground to the block. Fuses have a black coating on them on battery but connections are tight.
 
I don't have that particular model, but the general wisdom for just about any car since 1996 is to scan it first. Otherwise you're just guessing and throwing parts at it.

I've scanned the ECM for codes and nothing comes up. I'm thinking maybe there's a ground with corrosion or loose connection.

You scanned it, but what we don't know is if the scanner is able to ready only the P codes, or the rest of them as well: B, C, and U.

If it can, then either there are no codes or the socket is dead, or something else somewhere in between those two extremes.

My scanner is an Autel scan, analyzer, and programmable module tool. Ive used this tool on my other cars too and Ive seen all types of fault codes. I don't think the OBD socket is dead because I use to see faults for the IAT sensor and Intake camshaft actuator solenoid. I replaced both devices and codes didn't return.

I was wondering this is the first keyless car I've owned. If the key fob isn't in the correct programming location would that cause the engine to shutdown? Maybe it's a theft deterrent feature. Thank you for your suggestions.
 
Well, you certainly have a scanner that is more than good enough for sure!

I'm not sure about the fob question. One way to check might be to drive a block or two from home (not too far in case you have to walk back), turn off the engine, then put the fob in the trunk and elsewhere to see if it will start the car and/or drive with it in various places.

I'd hazard a guess that it won't matter, but radio signals can be jammed by some of the oddest things.

Also, do you know if or when the fob battery was changed?

You replaced the IAT sensor. Most folks recommend using OE parts. Is it an AC Delco part, or another brand? Do you have the old one to put back and do some testing?

The black coating on the fuses - is it on the metal terminals? It sounds like it is. If so, then find some that are clean and try them. You may also want to consider cleaning the fuse box terminals with DeoxIT. They have several products and they work well.

I'll have to do some testing with the key fob to confirm. The fob battery was replaced shortly after we took possession of the car. I changed the battery because we were getting messages the car couldn't find key fob. Ever since I replaced the battery no messages have returned for the most part. It has been two weeks with no messages.

IAT and Intake camshaft actuator solenoid were replaced with OEM parts.

I'll have to clean the terminals for the fuses with the Deoxit cleaner. Thank you for the tips.
