2013 Verano P0013 Code / Ck Engine Light

Hello all,
Brand new to the forum. My workhorse 2013 Verano had the ck engine light come on. By the way 1st time in 126k. Read the code (P0013) at my favorite auto parts store. Looked online for some causes... added about 1/2 qt oil. The code cleared on its own. Next day came on again and cleared on its own again. I’m 70+ Yrs old but not afraid to do maintenance if I’m able and have the tools.
Any ideas on why it would be intermittent and what would oil level have to do with it.

Thank you for the replys. I’ll see what happens going forward. I’ve heard from local auto repair shops locally that today’s cars actually burn more oil than one would think and oil level is much more critical.

no i havent. but i would think that is was full because i had just gotten an oil change a week before the light came on..but i will check it. Full synthetic. I'll be back after i check the level
