I just replaced the Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 original tires on my 2014 AWD LaCrosse, after 76k miles, with BF Goodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S tires, and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I haven't yet had a chance to drive them in deep snow or heavy rain, but they are so much quieter than the Goodyears and handle very well. I was blown away by the excellent customer reviews for those tires by other customers at TireRack.com, and I now know why.

Interestingly, I asked my long-time best mechanic in the world, who's also a Goodyear dealer, if he could help me get new tires. It doesn't seem like Goodyear makes a suitable tire in that size; he suggested I order from TireRack, have them ship them to him, and he'd install them for me. I did; he did; I'm a happy guy.

The Goodyear Eagle line are sport tires. Not touring. So, that is why you are noticing the difference in ride noise. I doubt the Goodyears were original tires. All Lacrosse come with Michelins as OEM.
