2016 Regal 2.0 Turbo P1101(Autozone) jerk/ bucking when lightly accelerating

Get a set of ZZPerformance coilpacks for $199.. they make a big difference!! Worth it..👍👌

If / when new packs fix problem, you can return some of the other parts you bought 👍🙏🏼

buickBandit,
Eventually, you may give up on the thought of using all AC/Delco parts
as the parts become harder and harder to find.
I don't disagree, best to stay with AC/Delco if you can!
I ended up buying a Set of MSD Coil Packs for my 2015 Regal.
I've been very happy with them.
Got a Great Deal, bought $200 worth of Coil Packs for $100.
I did keep all of the old Coil Packs in case I have a problem!

My Coils weren't throwing any codes, but my gas mileage wasn't IMO
very good, so I replaced the Coil Packs, Plugs and VVT Intake and Exhaust.
I also replaced the Air Filter and Cleaned the Throttle Body around the
same time.
Seems like Gas Mileage is a little better, but I'm not sure if was worth
all the money spent or not?

The good thing about replacing all of these things is that I know where
I stand, I know what was replaced and when.
This is something you usually don't know when buying a Used Vehicle.

I bought the coil pack from ZZPerformance as @Breeze suggested. I also bought the intake manifold and it's gasket. At this point, I'm just replacing everything that a 10 year old car needs replaced/ serviced. Will keep you guys posted on any updated once I install the parts.

Guess that I'm doing somewhat the same thing, replacing things that are
getting close the their life's end.

No real updates to my car, other than the fact that it's being agitated more often by having to drive up a hill every day for work. (Construction has closed my usual route.)
I am running a permanent trouble code of P06DE (Engine Oil Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Stuck On). Sometimes it throws a CEL, sometimes it doesn't. I grabbed one of those live read OBD readers so I can check some additional stats that I couldn't before.

What would you consider the threshold for gas mileage issues? I'm at 21 mpg average but that's with lots of high-incline, mountainous terrain on the weekends and my daily 5 mile commute around town. I sure like to hear the turbo, too, so I am sure that effects it.

I haven't had access to a garage so I'm overdue for checking my maintenance items. The previous owner didn't keep track of anything so my maintenance is a guessing game. I will get to digging more as soon as my main project is complete! My Miata is holding most of the attention these days.

Don’t feel bad I get 17 mpg city and 18 highway..
I have trifectas tune👍

I fixed that problem with my GS 2016 relearning the idle and the throttle position with a scan tool.

After that this problem was away after 7 months having it.
Picked up a new scan tool to try this. Cleaned the throttle body and relearned a few times with the scan tool and it seems to be a bit worse.

However, all my DTC codes are gone. At least that’s an improvement 🤷‍♀️.
Time to do some on-road testing again with live data to see if that produces any results. I am not even sure what to look for at this point.

Mines doing the same with no Codes but it's around 2500-3500 RPMS when hitting the gas hard.

2017 GS AWD (Last highway trip I got 27.7 MPG)
61k Miles (I drove it off the lot 75% of the mileage was pure highway miles)
OEM Plugs & Coils changed out at 50K
Brand New OEM VVT Solenoids
No visible damage to vaccum lines
Only ran 93 Octane since it left the lot
New OEM MAF
Filer is new

Why is this COMMON issue so hard to get a answer for.

Mines doing the same at 61k Miles & I drove it off the lot. No Codes, but mine tends to happen above 50% on the gas pedal. I feel it from around the firewall area.

Just started happening 2 weeks ago.

Coils & Plugs were replaced at 50K
Both VVT Solenoids Replaced with OEM
New OEM MAF
New Air Filter
I visually inspected all the PCV lines & nothing looks damaged or split although the main line had a little bit of what looked to be goop where it connects to the T at the back of the engine.
Only ran 93 since I bought it
Last Highway trip I got 28 MPG (Pretty good for a AWD at 61k Miles & 75mph cruise)
It shifts quietly and smoothly both up and down.

I can't grasp how this common issues has no answer

I just started having a problem similar to this the other day.
Only thing that was different was that I had the Check Engine Light come on and start Blinking.
At the next Stop Light, the Check Engine Light went off.

I went out the next morning with my GearWrench Scanner and Scanned it.
Got a Misfire Code and a Code Saying something about the Fuel Pressure Sensor.
These Codes were suggesting that my Spark Plugs and/or Coil Packs were causing the problem.
Pretty sure neither of those are my problem as they are all fairly new with Low Milage on them.

After a little more investigation, I've found that this problem may be with my High Pressure
Fuel Pump and possibly the Fuel Pressure Sensor.
I've ordered a New High Pressure Fuel Pump, a New Cam Follower and finally a New Fuel
Pressure Sensor (All Genuine GM Parts) from NAPA.
My order should arrive on Wednesday (Believe it or not NAPA had the best price I could find,
even better than RockAuto).
It was under $300 for all 3 parts delivered.
Hopefully we will be in the middle of a warm spell and I can replace all of these, right now we
are 7° with a Windchill of -7°.
