2017 Buick LaCrosse remote trunk opening

Hey folks,

I'm new to the forum after buying my granddad's 2017 LaCrosse Essence! (Happy to be driving that average Buick owner age down xD) I'm curious if the trunk lid on your 2017+ LaCrosse's fully open when popped from the fob. Mine cracks open a few inches, but it requires me to lift the lid when I'm putting in groceries, etc. My previous 2015 Impala's trunk would fully open upright when popped. Will replacing the torsion bar address this or is it simply how these LaCrosse trunk lids are?

My 2013 trunk lid just unlocks and pops up about an inch, if that. This works okay for me though. On my 2002 Park Avenue, the trunk lid pops all the way open.
