With the demise of the Regal I’m trying to decide if I’m going to pull the trigger on a ‘19 GS. I’d appreciate your answers to:

1. Are you happy with your GS?

2. If not, why not?

Thanks very much!!!

Super Happy, No Complaints. Look forward to Driving it everytime I get in.

Just pray don't get into a rear-end collision with it. The rear body panel has been on national backorder for months.

Biggest complaints: The sunshade doesn't extend, or with the sunroof there's no sunglasses holder (have to use the center console).

I love the seats but they could be a tight fit for some. Make sure to take it for a test drive.

Otherwise, love it. Also not that bad looking. 😎

Love mine.

Biggest pro: Drive one and see how much fun it is.

Biggest con: Infotainment is a bit glitchy. Hopefully the recent software updates help with this, but even if not, the system is still very functional. Just annoying sometimes.

Love mine aside from a couple issues

1. For the price of the car the materials should've been better (leather dash mainly).

2, not a GS issue but I upgraded my phone to the S10 plus this year so the phone is so tall the wireless charger is a useless feature now, the design of that isn't smart.

3. And the biggest is for the price I wish there was more performance per dollar, I paid $51.000 for mine, basically has every option including paint and for the same price if I wanted a out of town brand I could've gotten a stinger which is let's say it twice the vehicle of the GS,

Overall I love my car, love the rarity of it and how good it looks, drive super comfortably but can still turn a good corner and accelerate pretty good. But for the canadian price not the best value.

I paid Base Price.. The dealer got $600 from me and what ever from GM. I got a GS base price with all option pkgs for Free. This was last year. I love My Gran Sport. BTW there is a Holder it fits my reading and Sun Glasses. Do you Guys Read or at the least browse the Owners Manual for information?

Also Love ours. But we are waiting on parts for it now 16+ weeks. But when we did drive it ....it rocks!
As far as dislikes besides the parts issues just two things. I second the lack of sunglasses holder with a sunroof. And no remote trunk release. You have to press on the Buick emblem to open the trunk or should I say the hatch lid. Something else that I wish was better was more of a sport sounding exhaust. Its supposed to be a "sport tuned" exhaust but really I don't think it sounds any different from any other GM car with the 3.6 V6. I always really wondered if Opel was installing a more aggressive exhaust on the Euro models and for some reason it never made it on the state side Buick versions.

Since the V6 is not available in Europe the question is moot.

I've got a 2019 with 7,400 miles. Biggest con for me is probably the infotainment & controls system. Coming from a Dodge with Uconnnect, I definitely prefer that system. Mostly small things but I really miss SiriusXM alerts for your favorite artists/songs, the graphics for the channels, the lack of a knob for tuning & HVAC fan. Even though I'm used to where all the buttons are now, it still takes my eyes off the road more than I like. I also don't love how radio presets are across all inputs rather than individual.

For pros, I would say engine first even though it lacks grunt in lower revs. I'm still getting used to an automatic transmission and often wish it would downshift further than it does. Working the manual double downshift into my routine will eventually fix that. The hatch/cargo area and backseat sized for actual adults are definitely pros.

Interior materials are what they are. Nice in some places and hard plastics in others. Everything has resisted scratches so far including the glossy parts. I paid well below base price for a fully loaded version. I might feel differently if I paid anywhere close to MSRP. Lack of extending visors and sunglasses holder are annoying, but you can find a fix for the visors and my sunglasses live behind the cup holders. The biggest price point issue I have is the lack of auto-sense wipers.

Overall, I feel good about the car. I ended up with a good price which along with the packaging sold me. I wouldn't care about the cons at all if it was stick! 🙂 (or maybe with paddle shifters)

My apologies... as this is off topic - but I wanted to point out:

Mostly small things but I really miss SiriusXM alerts for your favorite artists/songs,

This is possible with our system. I have it setup to notify me for 3 different artists.

The V6 is sold in Australia under the Commodore name. Yes that car does get a louder deeper sounding exhaust.

Compared to mine:

You get an overhead sunglasses holder if you don't have the sunroof. If you have the sunroof the motor takes up the space where the sunglasses holder would be.

sorry to continue, but where is that?!? That's the difference between continuing with Sirius or not for me. Does a 2018 TourX have a different system?

It's really hard to tell through the sound compression YouTube videos have. I can take a video of mine if you like.

Does the GS have the same 4000rpm rev limit in Park/Neutral that the Commodore has?
