2018 Cascada Valve Cover Cracked

Apparently there is a class action for the 2016 pcv issue. Im at 70,000 miles on a 2018 but not fimdimg a recall or class action. Anyone have a 2018 issue?
Yes. See my post

If you are capable of doing the replacement, you can get the valve cover for $471.00 @ the link below & save nearly 2K!

In an earlier post about the valve cover, part number 55569508, that is nothing but the feed line, not the valve cover! You may need both!

I would get three quotes from well respected local independent shops, if this is beyond your mechanical ability!

Yes, we have a 2018 with 13,700 miles. Do we have to do a class action also to get this covered ?
We do need to band together its horrible and robbery not to cover a faulty design on a car only sold 4 years in state's. I'm out 2k+ for the part and labor. How cover 2016 and not 17;18;19. Suspicious

I have a 2018 with 31000 miles. Gm dealer made me change the tensioner and belt 1st said it was protocol. Now I need the camshaft cover$$$$$. Cant understand why they are excluding 2017 and 2018, car was only made for 4vyrs..

You have a valid concern if additional damage may occur. Have the dealership contact GM and have them document it that your vehicle is safe to operate in this condition for a unknown amount of time and they meaning GM are responsible for any possible damage, parts and repairs that may be caused by this.

I wouldn't take the word only from a dealership service person, getting it documented covers you if something comes up now or in the future. I have found that when something is requested in writing sometimes the mindset of the answer changes.
Everyone who is having a problem with the PCV = Positive crankcase ventilation system which is a crack in the diaphragm which causes a vacuum leak in the Camm causing the seals to blow need to file a complaint with the NHTSA. There is a class action lawsuit for the 2016 Cascada with the same problem. Buick extended a 15yr 150,000 miles to this vehicle year. The more complaints that get file, a recall or extended warranty maybe granted to your vehicle year. It just takes a few minutes to file. If you had work orders / estimates you can attach them as well.
I was driving 70 mph when I had a decrease in power and loud whistle or whining sound began. I filed my complaint and the reply email said.

Your complaint will be reviewed by NHTSA technical staff and entered into our database. If any additional information is needed, a NHTSA investigator will contact you.

Every complaint is taken seriously, reviewed in detail and analyzed for defects trends. Your complaint is important because it helps to inform NHTSA, other vehicle owners and manufacturers about potential safety concerns. Such information helps save lives, and we encourage you to share the resources available at NHTSA.gov with your family, friends and others in your community.

Will my vehicle be recalled?

When a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a car or item of motor vehicle equipment creates an unreasonable risk to safety or fails to meet minimum safety standards, the manufacturer is required to fix that car or equipment. That can be done by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund (for equipment) or, in rare cases, repurchasing the car.

So please file your complaint... maybe GM will extend warrant to all of us, give us parts or cash back
