Anyone have intermittent starting issues?...
I assume by not start you mean it doesn't crank, not that it cranks but won't fire up.Thanks for taking a moment to respond.... Much appreciated.
So a short back story:
Car ran perfectly. One day didn't start. No codes.
Battery checked out good. Tried to jump, no start.
Towed to dealer... Diagnosed as bad starter.
(They wanted $1600 for diagnose and replace starter)
Towed car home, replaced starter ourselves.
Car ran great for two days, then didn't.
Wouldn't start. Wouldn't jump.
Battery checked good.
Arrangements made to tow back to dealer, knowin starter is good.
Tow driver arrives and Drove the car onto the dolly.
Drop off at mechanics, drove off the truck.
Mechanic starts the car multiple times.
Car starts.
Then it didn't.
Several attempts later starts....
Fob battery good, no fuse blown.
Possible relay? Ignition?
WTF
Thank you yet again!!!!I assume by not start you mean it doesn't crank, not that it cranks but won't fire up.
Starting car from seat besides fob present car needs to think it's in Park and see that the brake pedal is pushed. Maybe something like a shifter switch or brake switch is not sending right signal and starter won't engage. Also just the starter pushbutton itself could be wonky.
Does your car have remote start feature, either from FOB or Buick app? Might be worth a try to see if it will do that.
Have you tried using the other key fob for awhile? If you have it.Thank you yet again!!!!
Those are very good suggestions and assumptions that I have made.
I may have taken those for granted as all working, but I'll do my due diligence and track each button/pedal/ shifter.
Yep. Made certain to just go ahead and replace both fob batteries.Have you tried using the other key fob for awhile? If you have it.
Hey there....I was curious and wanted to ask how does one go about testing those individual components of the ignition system?....( pedal sensor thing, the ignition button itself, the shifter reader, etc?.... Any light to shine?I assume by not start you mean it doesn't crank, not that it cranks but won't fire up.

Does the car always “Wake up” when you open the door and step inside? Splash screen on the radio, DIC screen directly in front of you lighting up?Hey there....I was curious and wanted to ask how does one go about testing those individual components of the ignition system?....( pedal sensor thing, the ignition button itself, the shifter reader, etc?....
