OK, I'm definitely NOT a mechanic but can do some simple things like replacing wiper blades, or so I thought. Front, no problem. Rear?? The few instructions I've found online say to remove the cover on the bottom of the wiper arm, then pull the arm so it's vertical with the glass. No problem getting the clip off, but the arm does not swing up like the front wipers. Maybe I'm not applying enough pressure but feel like if I pull much harder, I'm going to break the whole arm off. I even tried removing the nut under the cover, but the entire arm doesn't move at all. Again, maybe not enough pull being applied. Also seems stupid to have to remove the arm assembly from the car to change a blade but I tried...
I've searched the forums and find some discussion about using different length blades, but they are clearly much smarter than me as I can't figure out how to even get the arm in position to remove the old blade. Is there a clip, tab, lock, anything I have to spring to get the wiper arm to pull away from the window. I'd appreciate any help as next step is to just go to the dealer despite how simple (I think) this should be. Thanks

Your not going to break it.
Hell, I can't find an aftermarket OE replacement.

I've taken it off but none fit

It took me a while to figure it out, but once I did, it was easy.
No, you don't have to remove thecwipervstm. (Following is from
Memory).

Pull wiper arm out away from glass, past "detent" until arm will stay out without pulling back to glass. (Exactly the same way as what you do with wiper arm on windshield).

(Next is where I had my problem understanding the wiper). Jiggle the blade assembly until you see how it gets removed. I remember that it gets removedthe exact opposite as what I had first thought.

I. E. Pull arm out past spring detent. Then "play-jiggle" blade assembly and you will see how it comes off.

I carry one, (forget if I got it from dealer or Auto Zone) but have never used it.

FWIW, I never use the rear wiper anyway.

Thank you all for the help. Guess I just have to trust I won't break the damn thing 🙂 Appreciate all the responses

It is the same as my wife's Toyota Venza:

Just went out to remember how to do it Basically the same as this Toyota Video except no need to Unsnap the Wiper arm.

Just pull arm up past detent.

Then push (tilt) blade assembly down past detent as in Vidio.
Blade assembly now comes out easy.

I just replaced the rear wiper using this method, on my 2019 white needle. I thought I was going to break the wiper, but it did pull up past the detent in the end. Local parts stores didn't have the part, so I ordered from GMpartsstore.com

We also had another thread discussing about longer wipers too.
That might help with your search of replacement part.

Tried the "longer rear wiper" forum suggestion to use Bosch H312. As many in that thread has said, it doesn't work, -at least not on my early 2018 TourX. "Window" for wiper arm is too narrow in the Bosch refill and the pivot pin diameter is wrong. I can't speak to the H311 but why would it be different? Attached is a picture of the differences, OEM on the bottom. I have ordered a stock replacement from Rock Auto. We will see how that works.

I have used the Bosch H311 12 inch six times on my 2019 Tourx for annual replacement it is an exact fit. Last order was from UK on ebay. used to be on amazon.
