2026 Encore engine auto shut off/on

I just purchased this car and am getting so frustrated!! I turned off the feature and yet my car randomly turns off engine. Occurs about every 3 days or so. I looked online and all I could find are parts you can purchase and install to keep this from occurring. I'm not mechanically inclined nor do I feel like I should have to shell out more $ and find someone to install--not to mention will it void my warranty. I really wish I knew this prior to purchasing!!

ASS resets to on whenever the car is restarted so unless you turn it off every time you start the car it will be on.

Are you kidding me? That’s ridiculous!! And to make matters worse it only turns on every few days so that’s probably not working accurately anyways 😡

I doubt that's really the case. You're just forgetting to turn it off every few days, I'll bet. I've had a vehicle with this since 2017 and it is automatic every time I start my vehicle - turn the blasted thing off. 90%+ of all new vehicles have this these days and it's the #1 annoyance to everyone, so they're considering abolishing it. But you know how slow the government moves.
