So in my 22 GX i have the luggage shade cover that is connected in two ways -- on the back side there are two pieces of rope that go through the shade and up to the rear hatch. Once the hatch is opened it pulls the shade up. The other two connection points are inside the rear cargo area and are connected by two little nubs or pivots that the shade snaps into. Well while loading some material in there i broke one of these pivots and now its not functional. I am trying to find the replacement part for this and then of course how do i get in there to do it.

This looks to be a part that they sell but i am not 100% sure if this is exactly the one for my model:

Shade Pivot

Anyone have any luck replacing this piece? Thanks in advance - Aaron

Did you try asking the parts department of a dealer and give them the VIN?

Yes, i sure did call the dealer where i bought the buick from and the guy knew what i was talking about but was zero help.
He gave me a part number of an entire panel that was not even in the cargo area so i knew my time with him was up and i moved on.

I did take a part of the panel off , and was able to reach my hand in there to pull out the pivot.
So it did not actually break, but instead the impact it took from whatever i did made it break away from the panel.
Now i just need to get that panel off
and find a way to reconnect this piece with glue/plastic, etc.
Hope this will help someone else in the future.

Why would he put much effort into a call knowing the customer is only looking for a part number and then order it on the Internet? Imagine dealing all day long with people only asking for a part number. He's trying to deal with the mechanics in the shop and paying customers at the counter

haha so much for customer service, eh? Plus you have NO idea what i was going to do. I bought my car from them why wouldnt I buy this part from them if they were able to help me when the internet couldn't?? You are as clueless as he is, must be tough living in your world of grey, bro. I feel bad for you... you are pathetic.

If you were going to buy the part you would have gone to the parts counter. Again, try to be in the guy's shoes. You didn't tell him you wanted to order the part and would come down and pay for it, you asked him for a part number which triggers in his mind you are going to the Internet with the number.

There is so much wrong with what you are typing that i cant even reply -- so i'll just drop it.. you assumed 100 things that were not the case.
I know what i was going to do and that guys job is to help customers, in whatever fashion that they arrive.
