24 Encore wont start......

Hello, my name is John, I'm new to the group. my girl has a 2024 Encore GX that she bought new in September. She is having trouble with the car not starting and shutting off while stopped in gear. Some mornings when she goes to push brake pedal down and start it the brake pedal will not push down, almost kick back, and wont allow it to start. The dash will show service theft system. Also while running and stopped at a light, it will shut off, not restart until she hits the lock/unlock button several times on her fob. Dealer cant recreate the problem. Any ideas??? Thanks.

As far as the car shutting off while in gear when you're out driving around, the car is equipped with Auto Stop/Start. The engine can shut off when you come to a complete stop, and it will come back on either when you lift your foot of the brake or it will come back on automatically if it sits too long at a stop. If you wish to shut the feature off, there is a button on the center console that you can push to turn off the system, though you'll have to press it each time you first start the car.
