What is the transmission cooler? Is it a part of the radiator? I'm replacing my transmission and am confused about which cooler to get or if there even is one. There’s a cooler located behind the cooling fans, separate from the radiator. Perhaps that's where the transmission cooler is? Where would I order one, what would I type to get one? I need information and help as I've never worked on the transmission or cooler before. Thanks.

You have a radiator, AC condenser and possible aux trans cooler as a option. Standard would be build into the radiator. If you bought the car used then who knows what someone else added on. Take a picture and post it. If your transmission had a catastrophic failure then its a good idea to replace whatever trans cooler you have

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and bought a radiator today. I had my auto friend point out what I had. He told me, "That's the radiator and that's the AC condenser." No major issues with the transmission, it's going out though, slipping more and more day by day and no amount of transmission fluid will fix it. Again, thanks.

No major issues with the transmission? It's slipping more and more every day? The trans is shot.

Curious... mileage on your LeSabre?
My apologies on the VERY overdue reply... 153,000 miles. I have a new transmission & radiator ready, but I'm saving up to build the engine before putting it in.
