I was running the car in the driveway the other morning in the dark with a dime wedged in the throttle to give it higher RPMs, and I was doing this to test the previous day's repair of a cracked radiator. I was alarmed when I noticed all 6 exhaust manifold pipes glowing a faint/dull red.

I have never seen this on a car before, but then again, what do i know?

The car runs fine.

Is this normal on the 95 LeSabre?

IIRC, many of the Series I engines had tube pipes from the exhaust ports, rather than cast iron headers. So yes, they may glow in the dark. Have you check the fuel trims with a scanner?

Thank you for responding. No, I have not checked the fuel trims. I don't have an OBDI scanner. Perhaps I won't worry about it. Thanks again.
