My 96 LeSabre is battling a bad vibration that feels like it is coming from the driver's side front end. The vibration seems to start between 50 and 55 and varies after that. If I turn right it has no affect but turning to the left, even the slightest and it will stop until straightened back up. I have rotated tires, new brakes and rotors and a new wheel hub assembly recently and no change in the vibration. The previous thing needed to be done anyway so I went ahead and did them hoping that they would fix my problem also but no luck. Any ideas where to go next? Figured I would look at struts, tie rods, and ball joints but curious if anyone had some suggestions. Thanks for the help in advance.

Which hub bearing was replaced? I was headed for the left hub bearing, but it sounds like you might have replaced it.

Problem with the left cv axle or transaxle bearing?

It was the left hub bearing that was replaced. The axle was replaced about a year ago and when this started happening I pulled it and checked the output shaft of transmission and it seemed to be OK. Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary with the axle either.

I did a little troubleshooting this weekend and it appears that the strut is bad. It has play in both directions. Hopefully that will fix my issues once it's replaced.
