98 Buick Century Cooling Fan Temperature Trigger

Hey everyone! I was wondering if their's anyway to change the temperature in which the cooling fans come on in my Century. Yesterday I changed out the fan relay and ran the engine till the fans came on, which was when the temperature gauge read 3/4 of the way to the red zone. I used to drive an Acura TL and the fans would come on right before the gauge would reach 1/2 when driving in the city traffic and I found that was the perfect range.

replace the temperature sensor for the fan, it may be defective
