I have an issue with my 99 Regal's A/C where it takes a long time (4-5 minutes) for the drivers side vents to blow cool air compared to the passenger side that seems to get cool within a minute. Typically it starts out where the driver side vents blow air that isn't much cooler than ambient temperature while the passenger side is frosty. Eventually the discrepancy between the two is reduced and it blows moderately cold air, but still always noticeably warmer than the passenger side.

I already replaced the drivers side actuator motor in case it was sticking or something but that wasn't the problem. I do believe the system is at the appropriate pressure levels for both high and low side.

Any ideas?

The A/C system is probably running fine, the problem is the venting control. Like something stuck. I know that's not terribly helpful.

Oneill5491 I'll be following this close as I have had the same problem with my '99 LS. I couldn't get it to work and now my compressor has bit the dust. Like you I couldn't find anything amiss with the venting. If I find the problem I'll post it here so you can see what I did. Good luck with yours.

I had a problem with my 1998 Buick with the vents. They would open sometimes and close. Then when I turned on the air conditioner. The events would not work. What I did is go to your glove compartment box remove it and you'll see on the firewall. The part that operates the controlsit has five vacuum lines on it. I replaced that and it works normal again. I got it at the wrecking yard for $25, normally a new part was $165. Maybe try that once
